Fig2latex is an online PHP script that will convert any image type known to PHP into a set of
LaTeX picture environment commands. It will output a complete LaTeX file that can rendered with
your preferred LaTeX distribution. Upload file size is limited to 4 MB.
A simple form of RLE compression is performed in horizontal direction, consecutive pixels with
the same color are compacted in one picture command.
Some browers have trouble displaying long lines or large files. Copying and pasting long lines
can have a severe impact on some editors. Also note that some generated files are too large
for LaTeX to handle.
"Why do I need an image embedded in a LaTeX document?", you might ask. Well, one reason is that you can now distribute your document class or package as one file, and you can embed your institute's logo for printing in a title page.
